We are stepping into our Farm Café to introduce George Field as this months Meet the Team member! George has been working in the industry for over 40 years, and has been a part of our team for the past 2 1/2 years as our Front of House Lead. Read below and find out what George’s favourite order is in the Farm Café and what he gets up to when he’s away from Hollow Trees.

If you could describe Hollow Trees Farm in three words, what would they be?
Unique, friendly and fun
What does a typical day look like for you?
My day starts by opening up the Café; setting up the cake counter, switching on all of the coffee machines and getting ready for the day ahead. Most of my day consists of meeting, greeting and serving customers, I have got to know so many of them now which is great! Later on in the day we begin tidying up ready to do it again.
Favourite season on the farm and why?
Spring is my favourite season as the weather starts to get better and things seem more cheerful. We also have more customers begin to sit outside in the sunshine!
If you could order anything from the Farm Café, what would be your perfect meal or go-to treat?
Scrambled egg on toast with black pudding every time! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Well we all want to be able to fly don’t we?
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy playing chess and reading, but just love to go for long walks especially in Scotland – a few years ago I completed The West Highland Way!
