Katie is a member of our Front of House Farm Café team and has just celebrated her one year anniversary with us!
With a passion for books and coffee, Katie runs our fortnightly Book Club where all are welcome to share their thoughts on their favourite reads.

If you could describe Hollow Trees Farm in three words, what would they be?
Wholesome, fun and nostalgic
What does a typical day look like for you?
My work day starts at either 9am or 10am so I get the luxury of a slow morning. When I arrive, I have a chit chat with our regular customers and catch up with our amazing team to get ready for the day ahead. My typical day consists of greeting our customers, taking orders at the till, making coffees and running food, however I also run our Book Club on alternative Tuesdays which I adore!
Favourite season on the farm and why?
Summer! Summer is my favourite season as I love being out in the sun, and with our outdoor seating I really get to soak in the warm weather…and top up my tan! I also love an Iced Vanilla Latte so it is a good excuse to enjoy many of those.
If you could order anything from the Farm Café, what would be your perfect meal or go-to treat?
I always go for the Kids Meatballs 🙂 or any sweet treats in the cake counter – the brownies and nanaimo bars are so good!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation – I could pop to the Bahamas on my lunch break. Or I would be a mermaid with an awesome pink tail!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I am basically like a golden retriever who is just happy to be outside, but I do love to escape in a fantasy book or get crafty scrapbooking too.
